UFC fight pass invitational 4
Jiu Jitsu fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of the UFC Fight Pass Invitational ever since the previous UFC fight pass invitational 3 that awe-inspiring event ended with Nicky Rod breaking Gordon Ryan’s ankle via heel hook. Now the patience of bjj fans every where has paid off on June 29, 2023 UFC fight pass invitational returns with its 4th event. Thursday, June 29, at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT. On UFC Fight Pass
While UFC Fight Pass Invitational 4 will not feature The Greatest No-Gi Grappler of all time Gordon Ryan, the main highlight of the evening is sure to be one to watch. As we will see Felipe Pena, take on the dynamic leg looking force that is Craig Jones, in a thrilling, submission-only match. This headline event is undoubtedly expected to showcase the very best of BJJ expertise.
Craig Jones gained international fame in the grappling community after his breakout performance at the 2017 ADCC, where he submitted Leandro Lo. Jones is known for his leg lock game, which is one of the most feared in the sport. He is also known for his ability to play both top and bottom positions effectively. Which he highlights often on the B-Teams YouTube Channel. He has never fought Felipe yet, so this is going to a nice new challenge for him.
Adding to the suspense and excitement of the night, the card also hosts a range of impressive individual matches between famed MMA athletes and BJJ maestros. This includes the much-anticipated co-main event between the erstwhile UFC light heavyweight champion, Glover Teixeira, and his peer, the formidable Anthony Smith. It will be nice to see this two go at it again especially when their last fight ended with Teixeira beating him by TKO. Now this isn’t a MMA match but it will be nice to see what they guys do when they are in jiu jitsu only match.
